We started our daughter at DMMS in the Spring of 2021shortly after she turned 3 and she remained there for over two years leading up to Kindergarten. Miss Olivia and her team including Miss Stephanie, Miss Sunny and previously Miss Tiffany took extraordinary care of her and prepared her for the path ahead better than any place we could have even dreamed up in our wildest dreams. I was as comfortable with the time our daughter spent at Del Mattino as I was when she was in our own home. It was as if we had family members caring for our daughter 30 to 40 hours a week which gave us the peace of mind to relax and focus on things we needed to get done in our own lives to be the best parents we could be the rest of the time. Finding DMMS was truly a dream come true! We found the families of other children enrolled in DMMS to be open to meeting other new parents and welcoming to our daughter. She made many friendships which she has maintained even after graduating and Miss Olivia continues to be a part of our life even though we have moved on to Kindergarten and beyond. If you are fortunate enough to find that DMMS has a space for your child, I suggest that you take it immediately. It will wind up being one of the best and most influential decisions you will make in your child's entire life!

The teachers and school Del Mattino Montessori are truly unique. My daughter attended and thrived there for the past year starting from 2.5 years of age. Ms Olivia instilled a growth mindset, self confidence, strong communication skills, and Ms Stephanie immersed her in Spanish, all incredible skills our child will use for life. Del Mattino felt a true extension of family. Ms Olivia updated on our daughters progress weekly, and even while I was away on work trips. Del Mattino was an incredible blessing to our family. A hidden gem of quality education and our daughter had fun and made network of great friends! Thank you for everything.

There are not enough kind words to describe how grateful we are of Ms Olivia and the staff at Del Mattino Montessori! I must say that from the moment we first entered the classroom for a tour and met Ms Olivia in person, we and our daughter felt like home. The kindness and the passion that Ms Olivia has for kids is just amazing. An extremely dedicated person that is very honest with you as a parent and goes above and beyond to keep you informed and give recommendation of the kid development! She works with you if there are issues or encourages you to follow and grow your kidsโ€™ true talents! A true teacher that is treating every single kid as her very own child, and with her magic she manages to push the kids and discover what they love to do, how to do their very best. The kids get to be kids and spend a lot of time outdoors while still learn so much every day! We have our second daughter there and she absolutely loves it. The only complaint that we have is that the school is not extended beyond kindergarten years as we canโ€™t get enough of Ms Olivia!

I have both my children at DMMS with Miss Olivia and it has been a wonderful learning experience for our children. Miss Olivia is an amazing educator, very attentive, she customizes the learning and approach for each individual, depending on their strengths and tendencies. Her dedication and involvement are really rare these days and hard to find and we are really grateful for all that she and her husband are doing for our kids. These first years for our children are very important and Miss Olivia with her program and teachings will have a very long positive lasting impact. Thank you for all that you do Miss Olivia!!

I donโ€™t know where should I start when describing Del Mattino Montessori School or Miss Olivia! We had both our daughters in this school. Our older one for 2 years and my younger one for 2 years and 1/2. I always said that you have to have a call or a given gift in order to do your job extraordinarily well. Well, Miss Olivia is that kind of a person. She was meant to be a teacher and spread kindness, love, respect, discipline to all these children that attend her school! She is an amazing women! Just to have an idea, all the birthday parties for her students where she participated, when she was getting in the room, all the kids were jumping on her, like Santa Clause just came! This much these kids were loving her, too! If We would have more children, she would be our only option for preschool. Thanks for everything you do, Miss Olivia!

Del Mattino has been an extension of our family for over 5 years with our 7 & 3 year old children!!! Our daughter was with Miss Olivia for 5 years and our son started a few months ago. The dedication, patience, respect and love she shows to all the children is just incredible. Each kid is different, and Miss Olivia knows how to bring the best in them. Academically kids are so much more advanced when they go to kindergarten or 1st grade ( our daughter read and knew multiplication at 5 ยฝ), but in the same time they get to be kids- they go outside twice a day, they do art projects, they read books ( a lot of reading ), play games, do yoga once a month, tennis lessons in the summer, Spanish lessons, they even have a turtle who gets to go home with a different kid each weekend.....and the list can continue. The classroom is very well organized ( and clean), so kids know routine which makes the day go so much easier and peaceful. Communication here has always been excellent. In the transition period you will hear a lot from Miss Olivia to let you know how our child is doing. Every Friday we receive pictures with the activities of the week. We would highly recommend Del Mattino to any family who is looking for a warm and nurturing place where their children can feel safe and thrive.

We cannot say enough good things about Del Mattino Montessori school. Ms. Olivia and her staff have created a warm, inviting and comfortable environment in which my two children have flourished. I have experienced and toured many preschools in Chicago and other parts of the state where we lived before and Del Mattino has been without a doubt the best: you always get constructive and helpful feedback, individual attention to the child, children are always engaged and they really create the atmosphere that the class is one big family. It's really a gem of the north side. Most importantly, the learning going on in this school is astounding! They remain true to the Montessori curriculum and we also appreciated the choices for learning an instrument and Spanish lessons. I'd keep my kids here through high school if I could ๐Ÿ™‚ Go and check out this amazing school and see for yourself!

Ms Olivia taught our daughter for about two years. She is the teacher that our daughter remembers most affectionately. Olivia first impressed me with her ability to deeply connect with each one of the children in her class. She quickly discovered strength and weaknesses in our daughter and guided her through the pleasure of discovery and learning. I was impressed during observation in seeing how focused and respectful all the children were in the class, each one absorbed by their work. All the parents I exchanged opinion with, were really happy about the experience of their son/daughter in Ms Olivia's class. The Montessori method is an excellent way to develop a child's mind and it is ultimately up to the ability of the teacher to make it a success. I believe Ms Olivia has this ability, paired with great capacity of compassion, love and discipline.

Thanks to this positive experience, we decided to continue the Montessori education for both of our daughters that will benefit from it until the 8th grade.

We feel very fortunate to have met Ms Olivia. She touched our lives through the happiness of our daughter. If you would like to contact me, please feel free to write me at L_mancuso@hotmail.com

Miss Olivia introduced my son to the Montessori method in a very supportive and loving manner. He was always excited to go to school in the morning to see her. In addition to numbers and letters (and all those other important educational things!), he learned a number of valuable life skills, including good manners. From the age of three, he had a routine of going into the classroom and saying "Good morning, Miss Olivia!" He has continued to greet each of his teachers this way--even in Kindergarten at new school!

Miss Olivia is truly a special teacher. The kind of teacher who touches you in such a way that you remember her your whole life.

Ms. Olivia is a truly remarkable Directress with extreme patience and dedication to teaching. My son spent two years in her classroom and thrived under her direction. She helped him excel in mathematics, he was able to do multiplication at age 5! He loved going to school to learn something new, Ms. Olivia instilled a love of learning! My son was accepted into a top private school in Chicago thanks to Ms. Olivia's fantastic ability to ensure all kids reach and exceed their full potential. We are truly grateful to Ms. Olivia for shaping our sons future!

I can't say enough good things about Ms. Olivia. She was the directress for my daughterโ€™s final year at Montessori and she was absolutely wonderful. We had even considered continuing with kindergarten there because she would have Ms. Olivia as a directress. My daughter was accepted to Decatur Classical so we took a place there but one of her friends who did not stayed on with Ms. Olivia and now is doing very well at Near North Montessori. They are both in third grade now.

On our first observation, my husband and I were amazed at how organized and fluid the classroom was. Ms. Olivia was our third directress and by far the bet. She kept all the kids busy and engaged in their work with patience and grace. The classroom was buzzing and I remember how my husband commented it was like she was three people at once. We believe our daughter progressed a great deal under Ms. Olivia guidance and really helped to solidify her love of learning and reading in particular. We think is also her experience with Ms. Oliva gave her the edge to do well on the admission exam for Decatur. One final item I remember fondly is my daughter telling me during dinner that she ate a healthy lunch because Ms. Olivia said they needed to eat their broccoli. Always good to know someone is watching out for your child and truly cares.

Please feel free to contact me at messinas@sbcglobal.net with any questions you may have. Ms. Olivia is so dedicated with such a love of children and learning you canโ€™t go wrong with her on your team!

Ms. Singorezan creates a very calm, caring and orderly environment in the classroom that allows children of all personalities and abilities to feel safe and explore. From the moment our children entered the classroom, they were somewhere where they felt safe, loved and appreciated. Yet, they also were ready and inspired to work, be productive and learn new concepts.

Our son was a very shy child who spends a lot of time observing others. However, throughout the year, we watched him take more initiative and challenge himself to do hard work. He felt very safe in Ms. Singorezanโ€™s classroom and became increasingly more self-assured thanks to the tone she set for the classroom as well as her warm and consistent direction. Now, in first grade he has become a very serious student who takes pride in his work and challenges himself to do his best.

Our daughter, on the other end of the spectrum, is extremely vivacious with a very short attention span. Ms. Singorezan was extremely effective at keeping her focused and engaged without minimizing or reducing our daughterโ€™s spirit and passion. Now, as our daughter prepares to enter kindergarten, she is a confident and passionate reader who loves to learn everything her older brother is learning.

Without question, Mrs. Singorezan's positive influence to encourage and spark a passion for learning during their preschool years has been fundamental to our childrenโ€™s continued eagerness and their success in elementary school.

Ms. Olivia was the directress of the classroom my son joined when we first started with Montessori education at the age of 3. She is an absolutely amazing directress. It was our first experience with Montessori methods, but my son adjusted right away and took to that method of learning with ease.

Her classrooms were always organized, and quiet, with her kids always at some task, even if the school day hadnt officially begun. She knows to differentiate between the aptitudes of different kids and approaches them with a combination of kindness and firmness. Children quickly learned who was in charge and still felt warm and loved in that environment. She knows that boys and girls can learn differently, and that the same material might need to be presented differently to each kid so as to spark an interest for the topic in the child's mind.

We unfortunately had her for only 4 months before she left the school. We have had 3 other teachers since then and given those experiences, my respect for her has grown enormously. She knows to manipulate the Montessori materials as a good Montessori directress should. A Montessori education is only as good as the directress in charge - and you couldnt find better than Ms. Olivia. Please feel free to contact me at bmshethna@yahoo.com if you would to ask us more questions about our experience with her. I recommend her without reservation.

Our daughter discovered the Montessori world of learning with Olivia Singeorzan.

Neither my wife nor I did grow up in a Montessori environment. It took some observation time and research of our own for us to realize that Ms Olivia adheres truly to Montessori philosophy by means of her pedagogical style, usage of Montessori materials, and understanding of the individuality of each child (plus professional credentials, of course). The best measurement, though, was to witness how our daughter thrived in this environment and how Ms Olivia led her at her own pace to more advanced material for her age, while nurturing curiosity and a new acquired love for learning.

We recently moved to NYC, and our daughter did extremely well in interviews in the harsh, competitive admission environment of private schools in Manhattan. She will be starting second grade in a Montessori school in Manhattan this coming school year. You may feel free to contact me for more detailed references at mail@ospina.us
